“And you’ve been right here all along.” He shook his head, just unable to believe how stupid he was. How blind. He tilted Darren’s head down, pushed up to press his lips to Darren’s.

“Oh.” Darren’s eyes were bright, mottled, copper and green and grey, watching him.

His own eyes tried to close, and he kept them open, wanting to see. Needing to.

Darren’s tongue slid along his lips, so soft. So soft.

His arm went around Darren’s shoulder, his other hand coming to rest on Darren’s hip. The taste was fine. So fine. Familiar even. They fit together easier than anything he’d ever known, that strong, solid body leaning against his own.

God, it was good. Just the way he always thought it should be with Mindy and never was. Just what he’d looked for all these years and hadn’t found. He pulled Darren as close as he could, deepening the kiss. Darren met him halfway, moaning into his lips, one hand sliding around the back of his neck.

Oh. He was just gonna melt right there in the kitchen. He rubbed a little, because he just couldn’t not.

Oh. Oh, damn. Darren was hard, hot against him, rubbing right back, sending sparks all up along his spine. He slipped a hand down between them, rubbing the heel of his palm against the hard bulge in Darren’s jeans. Fuck, yes.
